Why a Country Wedding Venue?
A Country Wedding Venue Provides The Feeling of Being Secluded and Quite
The Barn at Lacey Farms is tucked away in the rolling hills of Washington County along the first scenic highway in Texas, once known as La Bahia now known as FM 390. Country wedding venues offer the opportunity to have outdoor and indoor entertaining spaces for couples to enjoy the benefits of both.
Many of our couples come from heavily populated areas like Houston, Cypress, Katy, College Station, Bryan, Conroe, Tomball, Spring, The Woodlands, Elgin, Bastrop and Austin to escape to the peace and quite of a country wedding venue and most of these areas are less than an hour away.
Our couples and their guest often make it a weekend destination wedding and take advantage of staying in historical Brenham or Round Top or one of the many area AirBnB's. There are so many great things to do when exploring the region including the Bluebonnets in early Spring. The views in the surrounding countryside along FM 390 from Burton to Independence and back over to Hwy 105 are just beautiful. Just across the road from our venue is a log cabin that belonged to one of the original settlers of Texas, Gideon Lincecum. Just down the road is Saddlehorn Winery and Busted Oak Cellar near Carmine.
On the Burton end there is the Cotton Gin Museum (the oldest operating cotton gin in America), shops and restuarants around this quant little town. Visit Flown the Coop shop or stay at their Roost at Flown the Coop. Enjoy a scrumptious meal at Blue Willow Cafe , walking distance from Flown the Coop.
Old Baylor Park at Independence is where Baylor University spent it's first 41 years.
Round Top is famous for its antique shows but the shops are open year round in Henkel Square and all the surrounding shops and Restuarants.
Historical downtown Brenham is a great place to explore. There are so many great events, attractions, eateries, music, theatre, museums and more in downtown Brenham.

Farm Wedding Venue
We Started Our Farm As A Lavender Farm
The Barn at Lacey Farms is also a farm wedding venue situated on a beautiful property surrounded by rolling hills just minutes from Brenham, Texas. We started as a lavender farm 8 years ago and while we no longer maintain large fields of lavender after loosing 2500 plants to severe winter weather, we still have a small area of lavender on our farm. Currently we have a row of lavender consisting of 5 varieties of lavender, Elegance Purple, Super Blue, Phenomenal, Meerlo and Big Boy James. You may see more about our Lavender Business and Lavender Products by visiting the Lacey Farms website.
Our country & farm wedding venue offers so many great photos around our scenic property and historical area from the rocky creek below the the outdoor ceremony site and covered bridge to our 1941 Ford 9N tractor to the horses grazing in the rolling fields. Take a look at a few below.
