Average Wedding Cost in Texas

Since we are located in Texas, our focus will be on wedding cost in Texas only. I will be using data collected from two of the largest wedding sites, The Knot and Zola. The Knot did a study of about 12,000 couples based on what they spent on their weddings in 2022 and Zola did a study based on about 4,000 couples based on what they are spending on 2023 weddings.

The Knot study for 2022 is based on what couples spent on ceremony and reception. Their study results for Texas showed the average wedding cost was $27,000. According to their study, couples who invited 50 or fewer guests spent an average of $14,400 on their wedding. Those who invited between 51 and 100 people spent $24,600, on average, and those with bigger events of more than 100 guests spent an average of $38,100 on their total wedding cost.

The Zola study for 2023, the average wedding expenses for couples getting married in 2023 total around $29,000 for the US and $24,063 for Texas. Since their Texas number is lower than The Knot's 2022 number, looks like couples are finding ways to cut cost and possibly having smaller weddings although Houston cost are slightly higher at $27,792. Zola also listed cost by wedding size since many of your cost are controlled by number of guest.

The below cost listed are examples of what you might spend at The Barn at Lacey Farms using our preferred and exclusive vendors and guest counts of 50, 100 and 150. Of course there are variables that could affect the pricing such as type of food, types of drinks and the quantity of drinks being the main areas of pricing going up or down. Our venue prices are controlled by the day of week chosen so I will give examples of each. As you will see, our wedding cost are less than half the cost of the averages above in the 2 studies by The Knot and Zola.
