Fred & Shannon Lacey - founders
Fred and Shannon Lacey started our family business in 2014 as a lavender business with the help of our grown children Fourth, Brent, Jennifer and Zac and their spouses all participating to create a special family owned and operated business. We were blessed with instant success with our lavender business when we secured the Kroger account with our lavender products and it took us 5 years before we were ready to make the move to opening a wedding venue in 2019. You may see more about our Lavender Business and Lavender Products by visiting the Lacey Farms website.

Farm Wedding Venue
It was Shannon’s dream to move back to her country roots and have a family farm or ranch, so we began looking for our dream land years ago. But not until the engagement of our daughter did we consider a farm wedding venue. While they did not tie the knot here, their wedding was definitely the inspiration for our farm wedding venue and we knew we had to find a big oak tree and barn. When we found this property with the 150 year old barn sitting under huge oak trees along a beautiful creek, we knew this was it.
We started designing our new barn and wedding venue layout in January 2019 and began construction of the bridge and barn in April 2019. We completed construction in August 2019 and had our first wedding August 24, 2019 which was our youngest son Zac.
Unfortunately, early 2020 brought us Coronavirus and closure. Fortunately for us we had not scheduled a lot of weddings yet so we did not have many to reschedule unlike established venues that had to reschedule an entire year of weddings and some went out of business because of that. Since then we have done in excess of 120 weddings.

Rustic Barn Wedding Venue
Historical 150 Year Old Barn is The Backdrop of Our Outdoor Wedding Site
Our starting point was our historical old barn that is covered by century old live oak trees. We restored the old barn and made it the focal point of our rustic barn wedding venue and built the groom quarters inside. The oaks provide comfort during the summer heat and protection during cold snaps. We decided that our wedding venue should be compact so we built a covered bridge from the parking area across the rocky creek to come out right in between the outdoor ceremony site and the reception barn.
Transformation of Our 150 Year Old Rustic Barn
What Would Become Our Rustic Groom Quarters
Our vision was to restore this old rustic barn into a back drop for our rustic wedding venue and turn the raised middle section into a climate controlled groom quarters. This turned out to be quite a task but my son in law, Nick Loucks, and I made it happen with a lot of blood sweat and tears. Today the old rustic barn provides our couples an absolutely beautiful outdoor wedding ceremony and perfect climate controlled groom quarters.
Barn Raising of Our Wedding Reception Venue
What Would Become Our Wedding Reception Barn
We designed and built our wedding reception venue as a large post and beam timber frame barn. One of the great things of a barn venue is the large open space it provides for wedding receptions. We added comfort to the barn with ac and heat and elegance with 3 large Maria Theresa chandeliers hanging down from 30 foot ceilings. The max capacity is 182 guest at 48" round tables leaving about a 600 sf dance floor. The bar has a beautiful cedar top with a commercial refrigerator and freezer and the bartenders can serve to the outdoor porch as well thru the dutch door. The Bridal Suite is a beautiful rustic and elegant room with a large makeup bar with elegant salon chairs, crystal chandelier, changing room and restroom.
We hope you will come out and see the natural beauty of our property and the beauty we have created for your perfect day at our barn wedding venue.
